Support Us

One VERY important part of the ongoing “Olympics Or Bust” mission is to raise both awareness AND funding for those aspects of the Olympics that might not receive the attention they deserve. We here at O.O.B. feel that one of these important areas is the Paralympics, which take place just a couple weeks after each Olympics but to much less hype and support. We feel this is a shame, considering the ONLY thing that impresses and inspires us more than the Olympics are… the PARALYMPICS! They mark a true feat of humanity- with athletes achieving NEAR similar results to Olympic records and with an even greater obstacle in their paths. Olympic year after year we are BLOWN AWAY by what these athletes are able to demonstrate.

Thus, this Olympic year, the mission takes on much greater, philanthropic stakes! “Olympics or Bust” will be donating part of their funding to the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), a unique group that recognizes the athletic greatness inherent in all people with physical challenges and supports their athletic endeavors by providing grants for training, competition and equipment needs. Our SPECIFIC goal will be to raise enough funding through their site to provide an actual limb to a Paralympic hopeful who would otherwise not have the opportunity to compete on such a level.

It is the true story of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah, a disabled athlete from Ghana, Africa who rode a bicycle across his entire country with one leg, and the help of CAF. He became a national hero and has become a champion of the disabled for his country… demonstrating for us all the outreaching power of the Olympics and Paralympics into the often troubled world as we know it.

We’ve come up with a variety of ways you can Support the OOB Mission!

A donation of ANY size (even $5 or more!) is much appreciated! ALL donors have the option to be listed in our “Honor Roll” below. However… for those of you that can reach a little further, we’ve come up with some various surprises below… (*NOTE: For incentive gifts, Please indicate mailing address by filling in the “add instructions to Seller” field, if different than billing address)

	$25 For a donation of $25 or more, we will mail you an official, personalized official postcard from the Vancouver Games.
	$50 For a donation of $50 OR MORE, we will throw in one of our limited edition “OlympicsOrBust” 2010 collector’s pins. In case you don’t know anything about the long-standing craze of Olympic Pin trading, these are bound to become a hot item on or off the slopes! ** All donations over $50 will also receive a shout out in out special live “Sponsor Video” that we’ll be shooting direct from the Games!
	$100 For a donation of $100 OR MORE we will throw in a batch of our delicious, famous signature OlympicsOrBust cookies. Special thanks to some Midwest moms for helping with the baking!
	$500 OR MORE To make our biggest goal of a potential Paralympian’s artificial limb (they’re not cheap!), we’re going to need some even bigger donations as well! For a donation over $500 OR MORE, we’re willing to perform a special task or mission at the Games (within reason!) that you designate. It could be hunting down that favorite athlete’s autograph, a personalized video moment… or for the right price and in true sporting spirit, maybe we’ll even streak in the snow!
