Olympics or Bust

OOB made a pit stop in San Jose to watch all the pre-Sochi 2014 action. With the US Ladies’ program still hurting from the retirement of legends Sasha Cohen and Michelle Kwan, this was a wide open field of veterans and newcomers. Here’s a picture of Tyler with 2010 US Champion and 2010 Olympian Rachel Flatt. Skating to Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite” she found that the workload at Stanford in addition to the obligations of elite training were too much. She finished far off the podium. Congrats to Ashley Wagner, however, who stole the competition with a curious interpretation of “Black Swan”.
